Intel has not sold motherboards in a LONG time. In fact intel stopped all support for their motherboards years ago.
If you are asking about a motherboard with an intel chipset, probably the best way would be to check the manual for that board.

(Not to give you a hard time ) On Newegg they're still selling Intel-based Motherboards. And you're right...........check with the Motherboard website for further information on the MOBO.

Intel based does NOT mean an intel motherboard. Intel used to sell motherboards; now they mfg the chipset used by asus, etc.
There is a BIG difference between an intel chipset motherboard and an intel motherboard [which has not been sold in a long time]
