    Here's my situation:
I am using Vista 32bit with WMP11 and I want to be able to Sync my library to an external hard drive. After researching that this is impossible without using windows explorer to copy the files, I got an idea.
When I sync to my Media player (some files), Windows Media Player organizes my library in a very nice folder structure (I am looking towards plugging in this hard drive into my xbox 360, in which my normal library folder structure would leave me searching for a song for hours). How would I mount a folder AS a media device and have windows media player recognize it?

You can easily mount a folder as a drive and assign it a drive letter. But you can't mount it as a "device" which it is not.
