Further to you peoples excellent help I have now got 2 year paid subscription to Spy Sweeper as well as 1 year subscription to PC 1 Click + subscription to Norton 2004 (which failed to pick up 4 viruses when I last contacted you) but I had clicked on a .pif attachment.

Anyway PC much better now but still problems.
    1) After boot up it still seems to be busy paging the disk and was seemingly running internet explorer in memory even though no applications were open.

    2) Intermittant delay using keyboard and mouse (on a single USB connector) sometimes I can type in several words and the PC will wait then type them on screen in one go or I can click on an icon or command and there will be up to a 10 second wait before anything happens.

You said last time to reinstall the keyboard..How do I do this?

I have brought up my previous thead but there is no reply button as it was Solved.

I don't see Internet Explorer starting up at system startup. As for the keyboard reinstallation, do you have a disk that came with your keyboard? If you do, pop it in, access the menu, and see if there is any reinstallation feature. There usually is with drivers.

If I do a Contol/Alt/delete after PC booted up with no applications running then I see explorer.exe churning away in the
processes screen and CPU very busy. Even now with only this web site open I see 68%-100% CPU use (P4 1.5Ghz/256Mb Ram ) and 248 Mb of RAM in use. when PC should be doing nothing. This intermottant keyboard&mouse delay driving me mad.
PC came with 4 rescue CDs rarther that a specific driver disk for a keyboard.
Any suggestions. I am a non technical user.
