I've recently upgraded my motherboard to an integrated WinFast 6150k8MB with AMD Athlon 64 3200+. I'm running 1gig of ram on Windows XP Professional.

While Windows is fully up to date, there are two problems, 1), the mouse cursor, I'm using a Microsoft Trackball though the jumping happens with any mouse used, occasionally jumps around the screen rather randomly, though it will happen more when opeining files or Firefox/Explorer for example.

When this occurs problem two happens, 2) Any sound playing, in any of the MP3 players, seems to 'pop' or 'scratch' as if there is too much happening for the processor to cope with. Even though there's only 4-12% of the processor in use.

I've a feeling it may be due to the sound and graphics card being integrated, but thats only a guess.

Any of you guys have a suggestion??
