Alrighty then... I'm on a Win 2000 pc, and recently the mouse just stopped working. no moving, no clicking, no cursor, no nuttin. I checked the device manager and the mouse settings in the control panel, and apparently I have no mouse driver. The mouse cable is connected (I checked it before posting. I'm not THAT green). All I can think is that the mouse driver was deleted somehow. Any suggestions?

#1 Try a different mouse it could have gone bad.

#2 Try booting in safemode and see if you have any mouse control there.

#3 Hows your virus software. You can try a free onliune virus scan of your computer if your current virus software isnot up to date.

update driver may find the driver on the PC and then reload it - i have managed to do this once before - otherwise download a driver for the mouse you have.
