I am using an optical mouse and have both wireless and wired. I prefer the wireless one. my OS is win xp, home ed, 3
While working the cursor suddenly stops moving. I change to the other mouse but still no movement of cursor. the keyboard cursor works. i go to ctl-alt-delete, choose shut down, then restart, sometimes the mouse works after that but i often have to unplug the computer, wait a few seconds, restart and then the mouse/cursor works. this is happening more and more and i don't think it's just a mouse issue. please offer some ideas or fixes if you can. thanks jim

try plugging the mice into another USB port, one of them is most likely damaged.

Thankyou. they are both plugged into different ports and they will work after a restart.
