    Hi all

slight problem with my system, occasionally the mouse will suddenly freeze, then the cursor will dissapear, and i have to reboot the pc to gain control of it, (its done this 4 times now)

im running windows 7 ultimate, using a wired mouse.

    Hello,

Can you try running windows update to see if there are new drivers for it?
Is it a laser or ball type mouse?

If it's a ball type mouse, then try removing the ball, and gently cleaning the inside of it, and the several rollers.

the problem got worse over the next few days to the point where the computer would freeze every start up, and i would get random restarts with a blank screen

i managed to boot into safe mode, then do a system restore, seems to be working fine.. for now

    hi tried that nothing changed

even when the mouse freezes the whole computer doesnt respond unless i restart so i think its a deeper problem,

i also get a blank screen even when the computer is switched on and i have to restart to show the display again
