Mouse frozen

    My mouse froze. It froze after I was on my lap top for about an hour. I rebooted and now the curser does not move when I touch my mouse

    A few questions:
    1. Does the laptop's track pad still work?

    2. Does the mouse work when plugged into a different USB port on the laptop?

    3. Does that same mouse work on another computer?

    4. Does a different USB device work on the USB port that the mouse is plugged into?

    Yep, fortunately the "single bug wasn't widespread but seriously limited the usefulness of a computer." It "broke USB devices and some core inputs including built-in laptop cameras, keyboards, and mice.

    The problem happened because Microsoft's Windows Update KB4074588 didn't install some new drivers and uninstalled some active drivers." Here's a bit more info about it:
