hope this is the right spot to ask. I have a new HP computer - prolly 3 months old. runs like a dream, no issues, but this one.

When using the mouse (regardless of what program I am in) there are times where the curser flies off the screen, and i cant find it. i have to rapidly move the mouse up and down on the table for it to come back.

its to the point where its starting to drive me and the wife crazy. it happens quit a bit.

any way for us to remedy this solution?

    comp specs are as follows

    p4-4.3 ghz
    1 gig mem
    160 gig h.d.

Is it a ball mouse or optical? Check for dust, hairs, etc. Try another mouse and see if that causes a problem. If a known good mouse works, try calling HP to see about getting a replacement(I'm assuming that since the PC is 3 months old, it's still under warranty).
