Hi, am a novice so be gentle !! At odd times my mouse / pointer freezes up and will not operate until after i have re-booted,even then it seems to be "reluctant "to move around the screen. Have tried all the simple things, virus check, derag, that a novice can do .Everything else is fine,am runnning Win XP.
Thanks for any tips matey's.
I must seem a complete thicko at this PC lark, but all in know is that its an optical mouse wired into the processor ,is that answer of any help,if not how do i ascertain what type it is please ?
Look at where the mouse cable goes into your computer. It'll either be a round (probably green one), a plug that's rectangular, or the aforementioned round one going into the rectangular one.
If it's the round one, you have a PS/2
If it's rectangular, that's USB
If it's the round going into rectangular, thats PS/2 into USB.
Hi, it must be PS/2 from what you say..tried to answer yesterday but it froze up again, aghhhhhhhh
