This is somewhat of a difficult problem to describe.
My on screen cursor is sticking, but not the mouse. I am still able to click on things blindly, but the cursor stays in the same spot for a few seconds. On Firefox, I am still able to sort of see what I am clicking on by looking at the selected URL at the bottom, but the actual cursor on the screen will stick quite often. So I know its not the mouse itself since its still sort of invisibly on the screen.
Also, the sound sometimes crackles quite a bit. Both problems came on at once.
I think both problems are related to the ram since they both get considerable worse with the more programs I have running. But even when just running a web browser and nothing else the problem is still there.
I have ran AVG's virus scanner and Spybot S&D's spyware scanner and found nothing. I have also finished defragmenting and no luck. I have also looked at the running processes when it gets particularly bad and nothing stands out to me.
This is especially infuriating because I just spent over 500 dollars in tech support of fixing a previous problem I had which wound up in them wiping everything and doing a fresh install of Windows XP. No I don't have the money to go through that again.
