go to device manager and look for any conflicts.

shutdown unplug mouse and replug, (make sure this connection is good) reboot.

also check the mouse icon in the control panel, click on properties and update the driver.

are you using the usb or the ps/2 connection? try switching them.

well i use 2 mouses for diff reasons

games i use one mouse cuz its quicker

and another mouse cuz its cordless

i got a USB to PS/2 changer and when I put my usb mouse to PS/2 it works fine!

but i can't use my PS/2 Cordless mouse

maybe its my usb problem so i just sent an email to my motherboard company asking for a USB driver.

But if its not my USB problem why is my mouse working so weirdly?

and there are no conflicts in the mouse section in control panel

However after i Put my optical mouse to the PS/2 port my optical mouse is not in my control panel under mouse?
    ????

    i am confused

just to eliminate the obvious; it's an optical mouse right, so your not using a mouse pad; right?

Have you tried making sure that you have all the right drivers installed for your motherboard.. Does your computer use a via chipset? Some older ones had problems with USB,.. If so get the newest via4inone drivers. Also check the mouse makers website and get the latest software for your optical mouse. And run windows update. I doubt it will help, but it wouldn't hurt, run a virus scan as well.
