    Hi,
Got an old NEC166 (upgraded) running WIN98SE.
Always worked great. Lately the Mouse runs wild (it flys around everywhere but where you want it.)
    Thanx,
    zzz:confused:

Did you try the mouse settings in the Control Panel?

Not much there but right- left options and speed.
Funny thing is, it works fine when I start up and after a while it goes nuts. Then I have to push the off button to shut down.

    zzz:(

Try re-installing or updating the driver. If that don't fix it, it could be a heat problem.

There is also an older virus from a year or two ago that will cause that behavior of the mouse. Have you scanned for a virus? If not, be sure your AV programs virus patterns are up to date and then scan the drive.

If you don't have an up to date AV loaded, you can try this online scan at the link below.

    Hi Walkeriam and Bryan,

I guess it was the Driver cause I installed anew and so far so good.
Gonna do the Virus check too.
    Thanks for the help and....
    Have a Great Day.

    AZ:D
