    Hi.

i just got a portable external drive, and have copied my I386 folder onto the root E:, so that i could delete it off my C: and free up some space.

before deleting though, is there any registry/settings stuff that i should change? should i let my system know that i386 is in E: now? i am aware that this folder is necessary for xp's automatic installation and stuff like that..

    please help me.. thanks

Not a real practical thing to do. How much space do you think you'll achieve by doing that anyway ?

Actually my I386 folder is 1.1 GB.. i dunno why it's so big, but i'm anxious to get it off my 20GB harddisk which is almost completely full...

not a good idea? i dunno..
