    Hi people

If someone could please help me with this, I would be very grateful.

I have just purchased a portable hard drive. It came with a 2 hour movie which is around 1gb in size. How come when I shoot a movie of only 3 mins in lenght on my digital camera, it is already half of the size of the 2 hour movie?

Excuse me for my ignorance but I really would like to reduce the size of my digital camera movies without reducing the length if that is possible. I would like to hear about why my 3 minute movie is half of the size of a 2 hour movie?

    Thank you kindly.

It's because the file type and/or compression rates are different. If you want specifics, you'll have to provide some on the equipment, settings, software, etc.
