moving compressed file from NTFS5 drive to NTFS4 drive on windows 2000

    what is the condition of the file if you move it from an NTFS5 drive to an NTFS4 drive on windows 2000?

    Try and copy it first and check the condition of the file. Moving should be the same, but if it is not readable (doubtul) then you have your original copy still. Let us know what the result is, please.
