    Dear kind Tech people,

I have a problem I think might be due to a virus.. a mad jumping cursor. It's making writing documents and emails a bit of a nightmare, so any help is much appreciated!

The cursor problems possibly date to my putting something called driverscanner on my sony vaio laptop, running Windows 7

Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.1
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium , 64 bit
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M 330 @ 2.13GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 37 Stepping 2
    Processor Count: 4
    RAM: 3758 Mb
Graphics Card: Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator HD, 1751 Mb
    Hard Drives: C: Total - 466244 MB, Free - 367184 MB; G: Total - 305242 MB, Free - 180298 MB;
Motherboard: Sony Corporation, VAIO, N/A, C603YQ7T
Antivirus: Norton 360, Updated and Enabled

This programme caused me other problems so I uninstalled it, but the cursor still jumps.
I tried to restore the laptop to a date prior to my putting driverscanner on, but it wouldn't let me.

I'm not very technical, so I will do my very best to follow any advice I receive on this. It's driving me nuts ;)

    Best Wishes,

    Lizz

Are you hitting the touchpad while you type?

Double helix.. nope. Not hitting the touchpad. I feel 95% sure it's some kind of virus. The problems only started when I'd downloaded this other programme.
Norton has found and fixed 2 virus problems.. and is still scanning!

    Thanks for both posts!

    Best Wishes
