Moving Info

    jWhat is the best way to move files and hard drive info from an old computer to a new one just purchased/

    You could

    Pull the drive and connect it as a slave in new computer, transfer what you want, and then put it back.

    Use direct connect with special cable to transfer(very slow)

    Best option would be to install a network card in each machine and use a crossover cable to connect them.

    Remember, you can't copy programs from one drive to the next, only data files. Programs have to have the installer ran to install them properly to the os.
