We're using Roxio Burning Software. We're downloading MP3's from the internet. Sometimes the songs burn ok. Sometimes the first song won't play or the CD won't finalize. Any Help?

If you are using RW switch to CDR. If you are already using CDR switch brands. Reliable brands are Fuji, Sony, TDK, and Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden. There are more but you will probably find some of those around.

Make sure you burn disc at once or DAO. It writes the table of contents first that way and there is no chance of its running out of space before it can write the TOC.

Have you tried burning at a slower speed, this can sometimes help. Also try to avoid using other programs while burning, as this can cause buffer under-run.
