    Guys,

    Here is the scenario:

    1. When I had MP3 files on my Laptop's HDD and burned them, they played on my Panasonic (Brand New) car stereo with no issues.
    2. My machine needed a rebuild so I backed up all the data to my external HDD also I gave away my CD to a friend of mine thinking that I would burn another one again.
    3. Now after rebuilding my machine, I moved my MP3s from external HDD to my Laptop HDD, burned the cd and tried playing in my Car Stereo, first 5 songs would play and rest won't.

What could be the reason for this? I am using Nero 6.6, I tried 'DATA' option and 'MP3' option, both did not work.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Usually Nero is perfect - I've never made a coaster with it. Try slowing the burn speed down and/or change CD-R material. Make sure that the MP3's are not corrupt too.

I second the suggestion to slow down the burn and/or try different media brands.

And we didn't see the bit about you giving away CD's to your friends but still having copies ;)

Moby, you're right! I read right through that. I think I'll have to close this thread, since helping pirate copyrighted materals violates board rules. :(
