Someone was telling me there was a something new that you can download songs in binary text format and convert it into an MP3, which technically isn't music sharing. He said you can also download whole albums at a time including the cd covers. He couldn't remember the name of the program or where to learn about it. Just wondering if anyone has a clue about this?

Personally? Ask him what he's smoking, and then get back to us.

Basically, converting it to binary will have bugger all effect on the file size: it's all in binary anyway, just like every other piece of computer data. All you'd get is a massive text file with a load of 1's and 0's which will be exactly the same size as your MP3.

And it is, in fact, music sharing. Whether it's in MP3, WAV, WMV or TXT format, you still get music at the other end. The only real advantage is that the RIAA probably won't recognise it.
