Why do my mp3s play bad in Windows Media Player but not in Winamp. I have a 1.4 gig Athlon, 128mb ram, 40gig hd, and Win XP Pro.

    Thanks

Because Windows makes a crappy MP3 player/decoder! They are more interested in world domination and adopting their own audio formats and don't do any development for MP3. They are trying to get their own audio format to be the industry standard, but it's not working as MP3 is so widely in use.

Dump media player altogether....it's a klunky interface and not very user friendly in the first place.

Actually back when Napster was alive, it came with a small setup program that makes Media Player play mp3's properly. If you use that, it works great :)

I heard you bash Windows Media Player, I guess I can understand why you would hate it. But give them facts not opinions. My Windows Media Player works fine. The one I got from XP. Benmp3master2 be more specific when you say they play crappy. Try to explain how it sounds.
