I have a MS Intellimouse 1.2A PS/2 mouse that was returned to me because it did not work. I gave the guy another one, and I just threw this one to the side and thought that he didn't know what he was doing. So, I plugged it in today to see if it worked. Nothing happens. The PC I tested it on was using a generic PS/2 mouse and I turned off the PC and then plugged this one in and then turned it on. It booted fine and then came up with no mouse. I've never heard of a mouse going bad - has anyone else? It's less than a year old. Hardly any wear on it too. I was thinking of opening it up, but I guess I should just send it back and get another one. Can a mouse just decide to die one day? And... the PC that it died on is now using the same exact model and it's working fine. So, it's been tested on two machines and dead on both. Any suggestions? Or did this mouse just have a short life?
