I have Windows XP on my computer and I am trying to record from a cassette to Audacity.
I am not getting any volume and have been told it is my sound card.
I have installed Sound Blaster live 24 bit and have a variety of other names in the drop down boxes under 'sound video and game controller'.
I don't understand where to go from here and I am using a cassette player with a 3.5 stereophonic plug from the headphone jack to the blue line-in jack of the computer.
I have spent around 5 days trying different things and this is my last resort before calling an IT guy in.
Please help if you can, really appreciate it, Susy.
