Hi Guys,

I have question about Microsoft XP, I have three computers with Win XP.

When I go to Start => Run.

Now question is How can i enable the smart words select option in that Run window.

Apart from 3 computers, 2 has that smart word select option enable.

while the last one i have to type the whole string again and again.

for example

if i tpye c:\windows\

it should show me option with c:\windows\system32 or directores under c:\windows

but it doesnt show me the option.

Any clue guys ???

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Nick

Is auto complete enabled?

Open Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Click Tools and then Internet Options.
In the Internet Options window click the Content tab.
Click the AutoComplete button.
Check or uncheck the options you wish have or not have AutoComplete.

You don't perhaps have a registry cleaner installed on that computer. It could be clearing out the registry that keeps track of the MRUrun key.

Its not a mru function, it is part of Windows Explorer, similar to DIR in command prompt.

AutoComplete AutoSuggest

Can't say I ever heard of it but apparently there is a registry entry for it.
