I upgraded to XP. I tried to load my office 97,
that I have from when I purchased
my 98SE. When I loaded it in seemed to work just fine,
then I started to get error messages when trying to print a Word doc,
that there was an error and Word needed to shut down.
After messing with the problem, I figured that 97 was
not compatible with XP and loaded Office 2000.
Now Word seems to work fine on my wifes login,
but not on mine. I unstalled and reinstalled Office,
but still have the same problem. Is there a fix?
    Thanks

Since it works fine for your wife's login, I would try creating a new login(controlpanel-users) and see if that works. If so, then copy over your my documents, desktop, favorites, etc. from your old profile and use the new one.

    You won't believe it.
XP has a Program Compatibility Wizard that I found after I posted this post. Strickly dumb as I was looking for a fix.
I used the wizard, and wa la. Word works. Go figure.
Thanks for your tip, but the wizard does the trick. It may have even worked on Office 97 that I first loaded that would not work at all.
