My Son's computer is having problems. I assume it has been attacked and corrupted by some external element. When it boots, it goes through normal process, I see the desktop momentarily, then the "Restore Active Desktop" screen appears. The computer then shutdowns and starts the boot process again. I was able to get into the safe mode, but I'm not sure what (if anything) I'm trying to find that would tell me there is some command in the start-up process that forces the computer to continuously cycle through this process. Any ideas?
