I have Windows98. At shutdown, I always get illegal operation errors and access violation errors, both related to msdm.exe.

I ran Norton earlier today and found I had the Swen worm and the Spybot worm. Both have been deleted.

Could someone please help with the shutdown errors, they're so annoying?
I assume it's related to the worms?

    Thanks.

See if you have this entry on your msconfig startup list, if you do , uncheck it and reboot: VnCplUpdate

start >> run >> type msconfig >> ok >> startup tab
