    Hello all,

My problem started this morning when I started up my comp. Somehow when i use any type of search engine, IE freezes for about 2 secs, then a "simulated" search result page shows up with all kinds of spyware ads and other crap that has nothing to do with what I was searching for. I have to press the next button for my real search to appear. After using spybot s&d, adaware w/procwatch and adwatch enabled, and hijack this for at least three hours, I'm still stuck with this crap  . Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Here's my hijack this log:

turn off system restore before removing what spybot and adaware find, run cwshredder with all browsers closed, then repost another hijack this log.

    cwshredder can be got here

Thanks for the quick response. I believe the problem to be gone, but spybot and adaware still show ClientMan processes even after deletion. My search page problem seems to be gone, but i can't tell with ClientMan still lurking around. Here's my latest HJ log:

your log looks clean, wait and see what others say. you could download these tools to try and prevent further infection.

to stop reinfection get these two tools, spywareguard and spywareblaster from.

    www.javacoolsoftware.com

and try a few online scanners just to make sure you are clean. Is your computer running beter now?

Run an online antivirus check from at least one and preferably 2 of the following sites....
    http://security.symantec.com/default.asp?
    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
    http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/
    http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/
