folks, i need help. tried everthing. nothing works. here goes: just about 1 month ago i installed an external iomega 750mb zip drive. a few days later i started having problems on startup (i run windows 98 2nd edition). the major problem was the system hanging. on controlaltdelete i saw "msgsrv32 not responding". End task would end it, but it would come back when i restarted the computer. i checked microsoft's knowledge base and tried all their solutions to no avail. i uninstalled the zip drive and the problem was still there. i even upgraded the proper drivers for the drive. another problem i experienced was dial-up networking starting at startup. i did msconfig to see what could be causing the problem and unchecked everything i thought i possible could be. nothing. i finally had to select "never dial a connection" on internet explorer's tools menu. to correct the msgsrv problem i finally reinstalled windows 98. that didn't work and now i also get a frequent "sysdoc not responding" or "ccapp not responding"

sorry for being so wordy. can anyone help?
p.s. i also ran norton antivirus, adaware and spybot. the problems persist.

    Hi neo73, welcome to TSG.

Nothing really jumps out with your log, security wise. I had the same problem with msgsrv32 when my cable internet service was out, which went away once the service was back. Not sure what that was all about.

I see you have Norton System doctor running. Sometimes applications like that actual cause more problems than they solve. I would disable it, IMHO.
