I used my laptop less than 24 hours ago, everything was fine. I transported it back home from a friend’s LAN party, the next morning it wouldn’t boot, thought the battery was dead so I plugged it in, it flashes the keyboards LEDs and never turns on.

I tried to expel any excess power by removing the battery pins and holding down the power button for 20 seconds

I removed the backing and peaked at everything connected fine, even checked and replaced a smidge of thermal paste, still doesn’t turn on.

Bought new universal power supply just to check. Still doesn’t turn on.

I’ve had the motherboard replaced under warranty around 2-3 years ago.

I hate MSI and I just want to know if anyone else thinks there’s anything else I can do personally before I chalk it up to needing a $500+ motherboard replacement that I can not afford and this computer is my life.

If it IS the motherboard does anyone know what specifically causes this? Is there really NO hope for a less than 2 year old motherboard?? Pls hlp.
