MSI laptop screen changing contrast

I own a MSI GE 72 Apache, its about a year and a half old, and I've been having a problem with the contrast for the past couple of months. When I turn the computer on or open full screen games on my laptop, the screens contrast lowers and makes everything look darker. for a temporary fix I've been able to go into color management and reset my calibrations, and for games run them in windowed full screen, but some games don't have the ability to be ran like that, so I was hoping someone would know a long term solution to my problem. Thank you.

Hi and welcome to TSG.

Have a look in Control Panel > Power options and Control Panel > Display and check the Brightness settings in both places. Set the min (if available) and max to 100% if you want full brightness all the time. The settings can be different when using battery power alone so bear that in mind too.
