I'm running Windows XP Home SP3 and MS Office 2003. The problem started when I tried to access Help in Excel. When I did so, I got the message, "Error Starting MS Help" and an "OK" button. So I then went to "Detect and Repair" under "Help", but this returned the message, "msiexec.exe cannot be started". Tried Googling this message, and I got the information that you can go "Start>Run>msiexec.exe/unregister" and then "Start>Run>msiexec/regserver". However, when I ran "Start>Run>msiexec.exe/unregister", it returned, "Windows Cannot Find msiexec.exe/unregister". So now I don't know what to do, and so I would be most grateful for any expert help to fix this problem. :(

    Many thanks

You sure the command is correct?
Should there be any space between msiexec and the "/".
Try reinstalling the Windows Installer from Microsoft Website

Thanks, antech - you're quite right, there should've been a space between ".exe" and the "/". Fixed that, but it made no difference. So I downloaded the latest edition of Windows Installer from the Microsoft site - ran that, but that also made no difference - the problem is still the same. Any further thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks
