A friend of mine is having problems with attachments in Outlook Express. Whenever I try to open them I get a message that says "Cannot find MSIMN.exe". Can anyone help me? How do I find that file to download it?

    Hi Dontknow,

    Only when opening attachments?
Can He/she open hyperlinks in email by clicking on them?

This is a little strange, as attachments come in many shapes and forms, and can have many different extensions.

Could you ask for the complete error message?
That would tell us a little bit more.

It should go something like: Windows cannot find MSIMN.EXE . It is needed for opening files of type URL mail to protocol".

Now for this one it's enough to register OE as your default email client, but what does your error say?

    And $teve,

You're right of course, but if Msimn.exe wasn't there, you couldn't open up Outlook Express at all, which is not the case here, I gather.

OE does open so that is not the problem. I cannot rememeber for sure but the error is something like "Cannot find MSIMN.exe" I will have to find out for sure and write back. Thanks.
