I run windows 95 on my office laptop. MSN Messenger 4.6 no longer works due to security upgrades at MSN. It says to install MSN msgr 5.0.....I downloaded it but I get a command line error when I try to install..after hours of looking it says that I need Internet Explr 5.01 at least....of course I have IE 5.0.3something. I have downloaded IE5.01 service pack 1, but when I got to install it, it has to download some more stuff and it always fails and says that I'm not connected to the internet or that it's busy.....PLEASE HELP....if you have ANY SUGGESTIONS...

    Hiya and welcome

When the initial error comes up for the Messenger, can you tell us extactly what it says?

Did you try downloading the SP1 from the Windows Update page? If so, when you download it, see if there is an option to install from scource instead of a straight download.
