I have windows XP Pro. I use yahoo, icq and msn messenger. I am not able to send a file to anyone via msn messenger, yet awhile back I was always able to send file transfers. I have no problem doing so with yahoo and icq so that leads me to believe that something needs to be changed somewhere but I cant quite figure out what. Right now my only alternative is to email them and its a pain. Would appreciate anyones imput on how I can solve this problem. Looking forward to hearing from anyone out there..Thanks Cheryl

Can you tell me in simple terms how to delete msn messenger version 4.7.0105 PERMANENTLY? I have Windows XP Professional. I want to make sure its permanently out of the registry or whatever needs to be done so I can download the older version 3.6 I believe and go back to being able to transfer files..Thanks in advance for your effort and wouldn't mind hearing from anyone else who can give me some input..Cheryl

Go to start>run. Type or copy and paste this into the run box....

    rundll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %WinDir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Click ok. Reboot your computer and it should be gone.
