I'm posting this for a friend of mine who doesn't currently have the Internet not for another few days.

She has attempted repeatedly to install MSN messenger. Over and Over and Over trying different ways even different versions. And it keeps saying something about Safe Mode. And It won't let her install.. Shes running Windows XP

I'm not sure if she's running SP2 And at the moment there's no real way to check.

Were in quite a Situation here.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for a quick reply if possible.

Messenger should already be installed if shes running XP. Do you mean that she is trying to upgrade it?

the easy way to find out if you have service pack 2 installed is to go into the control panel and click on system.
under the general tab it will give you a breif description of your pc.
under windows it will say something like.
microsoft windows xp proffesional.
version 2002.
then under that it will say service pack 2 IF ITS INSTALLED.

as for the msn messenger not installing.
i had a similair problem, i booted into safe mode and uninstalled "windows messenger" then restarted and it allowed me to install "msn messenger".
weird i know but hey it worked.
i hope that kind of helps anyway. :)

This is not the place in which to post problems (or, for that matter, to respond to them). Please use the appropriate forum.
