I've got msn messenger 6 installed (latest version) and when i either change my name or talk to anyone it signs me out. I have windows messenger installed and that is fine when i change my name or talk to anyone.
Has anyone else had this problem or knows how to sort it?

do you have a firewall on your computer? if so, is it configured to allow messenger access? also, you could try uninstalling and redownloading it

Have you tried installing an older version? They may have one available.

Why are you using both. MSM is probably controling it and trying to take over the MSN. They are two of the same except for the options. I like MSN myself because it has better private chat options and extra stuff, I always disable MSM. My advice is to try that and see if it is it.
