I goofed. I downloaded MSN Messinger. I had Windows Messinger for xp installed. I like Windows Messinger better. I cannot delete the MSN Messinger program. When I go to open Windows Messinger it takes me to the MSN home page. This is not good. How do I get rid of MSN Messinger? Running windows xp home. Thank You.

If you go to Start > Control Panel and double click Add / Remove programs, MSN Messenger is not there?

Went to add and delete programs. Said MSN Messinger is being used by some other programs and cannot be deleted. I tried downloading Windows Messinger and it still will not work. It just opens window explorer. Help file said you can run both messingers but only 1 at a time. That would be fine but win mess. won't let me hook up.

First hit Ctrl, Alt, Del and end task on msnmsg.
Then try to uninstall it.

Mmmm. That link is not what you think it is Del:confused:
Biv., I would suggest a restore to before you did the download. The install should have created a restore point. Have you tried that?
