I tried to install turbotax basic 2002 and it didn't recognize my dsl connection to the internet. It said I had to upgrade my internet explorer to 5.5. So I downloaded the upgrade but it wouldn't let me install it without a reboot. So I rebooted and got this msoobe at the end of the reboot. I still can't install turbotax or the upgrade to 5.5. This msoobe was located in the kernal32dll file then it moved to the startupdll file. What is it and how do I fix the problem so that I can install my programs?

    Welcome to TSG!!

Are you sure you want to install turbotax? Good read from this site.

Now if you are sure you want to install it I would suggest you call their help desk and get them to tell you what's up with the error messages you are getting.

Here's all I could find related to msoobe.
