Hello. If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it. My spooler logs have disappeared and my printer has been un-installed. I cannot use Internet Explorer at all and Mozilla often crashes. When I try to run my anti-virus program, my system crashes. I installed Hijack This. Here is my log file. Thanks.

I'm not exactly qualified to handle HJT logs, but some of what I do see is of some concern.

    1. I noticed you have utorrent on your PC. P2P programs are spyware and virus central, and their legality is questionable at best.

    2. Your version of Java is out of date. Uninstall the Java Runtime Environment through Add/Remove Programs, then go to http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp to get the latest version.

    3. You are running HJT from a temporary location. Uninstall it, and then reinstall it to a location like C:\Program Files\HijackThis, then send a new log in your next post.

A qualified security expert should be along soon. Please be patient.

I don't know what utorrent is, but I will ask my son since he downloaded it. I will move Hijack This and re-post my log. Thank you for your response.

Hello. I updated Java, I think and I told my son to uninstall utorrent. I don't see it anymore, so I guess he did. Here is my current logfile:

Although I can't assist in HJT logs, I must recommend that you have it moved to the Security forum.

In the top-right corner of your message is a red triangle with an exclamation mark: Report Post to Moderators. Ask them politely if they can move your post to the Security forum. You'll more likely (and more quickly) get a response.

Sorry for the late reply. I can't imagine why the security guys haven't responded.
