Last night I clicked on Reveal Formatting on MSWord2003. When I found out what I wanted to know, I clicked it off. I lost my margin lines and the borders I had around my title page.

I can redo the borders, but cannot get the margin lines to show up. I've been on Help and searched the Microsoft Help pages for an answer. Those topics that include margins in with Headers & Footers, do not mention margins. I found a question about "my margins have disappeared" but it did not address it at all.

Any clues? Or should I just shoot the computer and put it out of my misery?

A margin is the area of white space around the edge of a page. Do you mean that your custom margin settings disappeared? Or is there no longer any white space between the text and the edges of the page?

The margin settings stayed the same, but the lines defining the margins on the page are gone and I don't know how to get them back. Do you?

I don't know what lines you're referring to. Maybe it's just the view you're using. Switch to Print view (something like that) and see if what you're looking for comes back.

Search Help for Change Page Margins and see section for View Page Margins.

Also look at Troubleshoot margins and page orientation (was 5th result of above search for me) then click The page margins aren't visible
