MTU - registry setting TWEAKING

Hi,

Anyone who can help me with the following:

Currently running Win2K , ADSL Broadband Internet, and I'm trying to change the following TCP/IP Registry setting (MTU=1400) to test out Internet speed performance.
It should be sitting in:
HKLM\SYSTEM\Currentcontrolset\services\TCPIP\
Parameters\Interfaces\#interface#MTU="1400"

Well I cannot find this entry at all.

Who can help?

I don't have that key either, even after running the patch from the site above

another though, go here http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks and run the tweak test, will give your information on your settings and recommended fixes

Furthermore, the entry may just not be there, and in that case Windows reverts to the defaults.

Follow up on BrianF's tips to determine the optimum settings for your system.
