Can anyone recommend a multi-messenger system... I know of Miranda and Trillian. Are they safe, stable, and easy to use for even those who are average (or below average) at using and figuring out how to use programs? Which one is the best? I guess for me, reliability and the ease of use is most important.

Personally, I just need one that will accept MSN Messenger, ICQ, AIM and Yahoo! Instant Messenger.

Trillian is fine. It works with all the ones you mention. Instead of having to open loads of different chat things, just the one programme with your contacts showing in one place, even if from different messenger services.
    Thats what I used anyway.
