First of all you need to find a web site that suits your needs ...go to google and type in itunes, Napster, Rhapsody, Music Match jukeboox...... to name a few , most have a sample song list to hear 30 seconds or so and you can listen ....some have free radio listening if you sign up you can enjoy "alot" of songs for free...you have to join the sight to download their music, most you have to post a creditcard and songs are usually .99cents ....if its a really strange song you are looking for make sure the sight you are searching on carries that song, first before you join it !! follow their tuturial to set up where you want to download the music to(what file location) ..usually to "my music" is the default, you will need a player on your computer to listen to the music, if you have windows it should default to windows......hope that helps(y) :)
