The local TV station was here today to do an interview and film my tomato plant. It was too cool.

I was nervous but not as much as I thought I would be. Glad they came today because I am going to pull the plant out this weekend. The last frost we had here really did a number on it, there are spots on the plant that I had to remove because they were dead. I would say that I had to toss quite a few tomatoes because they were bad. Even still we got well over 1500 tomatoes from the plant.

Hey Korgul, this is off subject, but do you think you could edit your first post in the FAD thread and give better directions and links to new people who wish to join the team? Thanks.

My father would love to Korgul... Every year... for 20 years running... he attempts a garden... and utterly fails!

lol... his tomato plants will grow 1/3 of the size of his neighbors... even though he will be out there working on em every day... and his neighbors just water theres when needed!

gbrumb - we were around middle river when we caught the fish in the pic. We caught atleast 60 rock fish that day. It was great, there was a tournament going on at the time. We pull up into the middle of a bunch of boats, drop anchor and with in 5 min caught 3 fish. It pretty much stayed like that up till lunch time then it died off. We could hear people on the other boats saying that they should be on our boat because they weren't catching anything.
At one point it took me about 10 min to light a cig, I would drop the line in the water, set the rode down, reach for my smokes and have to grab the rod because I had a fish on. Reel that one in drop the line in, set it down, reach for smokes, then quick grab the rode again, this went on and on. It was great.

hewee - sorry. I can zip up some pics and send them to ya if you don't want to wait.

gws- that was the way it was last year. I bought 4 of the beefsteak tomato plants. I got like 5 tomatos total. Guess this was a make up year for last years poor crop. :D

I was able to see the picture and that is one big plant. :)

My dad used to grow them also but the plants were smaller.
Also he had a 2 lb. beefsteak tomato once he grew.
