I can not get my A: to work. I have checked all of the connections and the power works. I have tried two different drives and it still gives me the same message. When I try to access the drive before it even checks the drive it says "the disk in drive a is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?" the drive gives this message if there is a disk in the drive or not. Please Help!
    thanks Aaron

Hi welcome, and welcome to the site!

Could you tell me a little more about your setup?
You have tried two different floppy units, yes?
Did you make up the ribbon-wire yourself?
Have you tried either of the floppy units on another PC?

And most importantly, have you tried other good known workable formatted floppy disks?

What's on the floppy you are trying to read?
