Hi- I'm running win 2k on a HP Pavilion with a HP Cd-Writer Plus CD drive. This drive will read audio cd's, but when I place a data cd in it, I get a windows message stating: "The disk in drive D is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?"
I checked the event log and I have a string of errors from the disk drive. they all say "The device, \Device\CdRom0, has a bad block."

I'd appreciate any help with this issue.

    Maybe a corrupt driver.
