My computer won’t turn on.

You are not giving much information to work with here. How about letting us know ...

A) Manufacturer's name and exact model number of the computer and/or the motherboard.

B) Manufacturer's name and exact model number of the monitor if the computer isn't a laptop.

C) Manufacturer's name and exact model number of any video controller expansion board plugged into the motherboard.

D) Exactly what version of Windows is installed on the computer.

E) Has the computer been moved or had its cover's removed for any reason?

F) Are there any Power On Self Test (POST) beeps or status lights on the case or motherboard?

G) Are you able to access the BIOS settings at first power up? If so, does the Hard Drive with the operating system show up in the settings?

H) Are you able to boot up in safe mode?
