my cursor has changed

It looks like my cursor has a precursor as a circle and a central point in it. How could I get rid of it?

these rollers are often also buttons - click it down see if the cursor changes back

That's amazing, etaf. I didn't mean to butt in felfele but I've used that type of mouse for years and I didn't know about that.

If it's not set to autoscroll as etaf suggests, go to the control panel and click Mouse>Pointers tab and see if you can change it there.
FYI smeegle, In Firefox you can open a link in a new tab by "middle clicking".

thank you guys for helping. Having run Ad-Aware SE software the circle disappeared (y)
